It my profound honor and privilege to serve the great fraternity we know as Freemasonry in the oriental chair. I am deeply honored and flattered by the confidence and trust that Harmony Lodge No. 42 has in me to serve my brothers as it's Master. I will work to ensure that the upcoming year is both interesting and educational for all of our brothers who attend lodge.
To Worshipful Brother Shane I would like to commend you on a most excellent year as Master and wish you good fortune and success in all of your future endeavors.
It is my intention to continue on with meals at every meeting. The menu may be somewhat varied in the future and if any brothers have any special requests or ideas for our meals, please do not hesitate to speak to me or our Stewards.
Harmony Lodge 42 has always been an active lodge and it is my intention to continue on in that tradition. We are in the process of planning a George Washington's Day dinner that will be open to both Masons and male non-Masons alike. This dinner will be an excellent opportunity to introduce male friends and family to the Lodge and give them a positive view of Freemasonry.
With the publishing of Dan Brown's latest book "The Lost Symbol", it is highly likely that we will have more candidates for the degrees of Masonry than we can enter, pass and raise with our stated degrees. Grand Lodge is expecting a great influx of petitions during this year due to generational change and increased interest in Freemasonry. It may be necessary to have additional degrees in accommodate these candidates and I expect all brothers of Harmony Lodge 42 to assist in these additional degrees.
Lastly, I would like to encourage each brother to reach out to a brother who they have not seen in lodge in some time and to encourage them to come back and to renew their involvement with Freemasonry.
Fraternally,
Martin J. Macary, W. M.
Welcome to Our Lodge
Welcome to our lodge website.
As Connecticut Freemasons we embrace the tenets of Friendship, Morality and Brotherly Love. We do this by using the teachings of Freemasonry to better ourselves, our community and each other. At our lodge we make Masons and here at our website we show you our history, activities and schedule of future events.
The Masonic Fraternity does not invite anyone to become a member, instead we wait patiently for the special man to knock on our door and seek admittance. Perhaps your visit here is that "knock" on our outer door.
Feel free to browse our site; investigate us and Freemasonry! See for yourself what we are doing here. We hope this site interests you into becoming a better man and joining the greatest and largest Fraternity in the world.
