| Master's Message Fall 2008 |
|
It’s hard to believe that
it’s September and my roll as Master is on the “down hill side”. A few more
months and a new Master will have an opportunity and challenge like none other,
to serve his fellow brothers with humility and dedication. To the incoming
Master, know that the rewards of being Master outweigh the obligation. I want
to thank the brothers for their support of the officers and myself in
particular. Your dedication to Harmony Lodge, your tireless work performed
behind the scenes, is the true spirit of Masonry. Many have “stepped up to the
plate”, pro temping positions, serving on investigating committees and
addressing unique lodge issues. It has made this Mason “better”.
Harmony Lodge continues to
grow in membership and community involvement. True, the brothers have dealt
with issues with health, employment and the passing of family members, but they
say one should savor the journey rather than simply focus on the destination.
I am looking forward to many
good times with you, my brothers both during my tenure as Master and beyond.
Let’s have a great Fall Session!!
You’re Servant,
Bill Blackwood,
Worshipful Master
